PNC Field PDL Compliance Clubhouse Renovations
Moosic, PA

Elevating the Game

In response to Major League Baseball’s new Professional Development League (PDL) Facility Standards, ECBuild completed a major renovation of the 10,000-seat PNC Field, home of the New York Yankees’ Class AAA affiliate, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

The scope of the project includes an addition and interior renovations to the Home Clubhouse, upgrades to the Visiting Clubhouse, and construction of a new standalone batting tunnel facility. These enhanced player amenities were designed and constructed to exceed PDL Facility Standards and elevate the ballpark to best-in-class status within Minor League Baseball.

Awarded as a Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract with the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners, ECBuild successfully expedited the project for completion ahead of the 2025 RailRiders season.

“ECBuild was an outstanding partner throughout the renovation of PNC Field. Their advice and input during preconstruction, and proactive problem-solving during construction enabled us to meet the aggressive schedule for compliance with MLB’s new standards. Their team was always attentive to the needs of both the RailRiders and the Yankees. Their flexibility meant we did not have to forego any scheduled off-season events at the ballpark. They finished the project on time and under budget. The results speak for themselves. Our facilities at PNC Field are now best-in-class.”
