Cook Children’s Healthcare System
8th Neighborhood Clinic Manhattan
Fort Worth, TX

Pediatric Care Close to Home
Cook Children's Health Care System is a not-for-profit pediatric care provider, known for its commitment to compassionate and accessible pediatric care, with over 60 primary, specialty, and urgent care locations throughout Texas. Cook Children’s Health Care System recognized the need to create a facility that reflected its mission to serve children and families with dignity. The existing office structure limited its ability to meet demand, necessitating a complete renovation.
The 8th Neighborhood Clinic project transformed a single-story office building into a modern pediatric care clinic in five months, designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of families in this Fort Worth community.
The design team at e4h Architects repurposed the building to support a neighborhood-based model of care. Universal accessibility was a central focus, ensuring that all patients can move through the clinic with ease. The project was completed on schedule and 9 percent under budget.
