ALCON

Viscoelastics Fill Line E
Fort Worth, TX

Accelerated Delivery

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, needed to expand its manufacturing capacity at the Fort Worth campus to support the production of a new Viscoelastics product family. To meet this demand, the company undertook a design-build renovation of approximately 20,000 SF across its ASPEX and Fort Worth North facilities.

At ASPEX, improvements included warehouse upgrades featuring a -20°C freezer, along with renovations to compounding areas, aseptic filling suites, and primary packaging rooms. At Fort Worth North, the project focused on final packaging operations and in-process refrigeration to optimize production.

The renovation introduced new cleanroom facilities with advanced wall and ceiling systems, controlled environment rooms, high-speed roll-up doors, and epoxy flooring. Additional scopes included drywall and acoustic ceilings, as well as the integration of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and process systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

These enhancements enable Alcon to operate in modern, compliant manufacturing environments that meet stringent industry standards for quality and cleanliness. The design-build approach streamlined coordination and accelerated delivery, positioning the company to meet growing market demand with expanded and more efficient production capabilities.
