North Charleston, SC – The Alcami Equipment Wash and Terminal Sterilizer Addition Projects have recently been completed.

The Equipment Wash Renovation project consisted of converting an old storage room into a new cGMP Equipment Washroom.  The new washroom is located within the cGMP Clean Manufacturing Space.  This space was constructed while the remaining production area continued to function without interruption to the adjoining space.  The Equipment Washroom was constructed consistent with current GEP (Good Engineering Practices).  GEP consisted of clean panels, HEPA filtration, High Speed Roll Up Doors, Material and Personnel Airlocks, WFI and other process utilities.

The Terminal Sterilizer Expansion consisted of an addition to the building to support the installation of a new Terminal Sterilizer.  The new addition was added onto the cGMP Warehouse area and functions as its own independent sterilizing structure with support from building facility utilities.  Clean Utilities were installed, including clean steam, RODI Water, and compressed air.  A new RODI tank and distribution pumps with associated automation was added at the Terminal Sterilizer Facility to support future grown of the existing building.  Work was coordinated so that all early utility connections were performed during annual shutdowns.  All additional work was constructed without interruption to the existing warehouse operations.
