After working together successfully for over two decades, the founding members of ECBuild joined forces with EwingCole in 2019 to start our own construction management company. ECBuild was created specifically to meet our clients’ needs across a variety of commercial industries.

ECBuild provides preconstruction, procurement, and construction services.  We have established a company that provides an internal and collaborative approach that benefits our clients. One Team, One Common Goal! 

At ECBuild, we have assembled a team of industry experts with vast experience that provides unparalleled client service. All of our team members share the same commitment to excellence as our founding members, with much of the senior leadership previously working together in all of our markets around the country.

We have strived to create a company for and with which clients and employees want to work. This basic chemistry is the foundation for our company’s success and our clients' assurance of a successful project.

Construction Delivery Methods

Every project is unique, and so is the best way to deliver it. At ECBuild, we offer a range of proven delivery models to align with your goals, schedule, and budget. Whichever path you choose, our process is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and precision, ensuring your project benefits from clear communication, accurate pricing, and seamless execution.

Design-Build

What it is: One contract, one team. Design and construction are managed under a single umbrella, creating efficiency and accountability.
When it works best: Projects where speed, cost certainty, and a single point of responsibility are critical.
How EC Build makes it better:
We partner with leading designers and, uniquely, have direct access to EwingCole’s in-house expertise in architecture, engineering, interiors, and planning. This “One Team, One Goal” model eliminates silos, reduces risk, accelerates schedules, and maximizes value.

Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)

What it is: A collaborative model where the owner, design team, and builder work together early in the process. ECBuild commits to a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) once design is complete or, if necessary, at an earlier stage as dictated by the Owner.
When it works best: Owners who want active input during design but also need cost certainty before construction begins.
How EC Build makes it better: With a strong preconstruction team and a deep database of project cost history, we provide reliable GMPs that keep projects on time and on budget, while maintaining the flexibility to refine design decisions.

Lump Sum (Design-Bid-Build)

What it is: The traditional model — design is completed first, then contractors competitively bid on the work.
When it works best: Projects with a clear, well-defined scope where the priority is achieving the lowest upfront cost.
How EC Build makes it better: Even in a bid-driven process, we deliver added value through rigorous cost analysis and early preconstruction guidance, helping clients avoid costly surprises during construction.

Competitive Sealed Proposal

What it is: A regulated process where contractors submit sealed proposals that are evaluated on both price and qualifications.
When it works best: Public or institutional projects that require compliance with procurement laws.
How EC Build makes it better: Our team has extensive experience in public-sector work, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)

What it is: A highly collaborative contract structure where the owner, design team, and builder share both risks and rewards.
When it works best: Complex, high-stakes projects where innovation, trust and alignment are necessary.
